SolCard Inference vs Venice: two private, uncensored AI services compared

Both keep your chats on your device and offer uncensored models. Where they differ: which requests are private, what a plan covers, how you pay, and how they plug into coding agents.

Contents

Venice and SolCard Inference look alike from a distance. Both keep your chat history on your device, both offer uncensored models, and both take crypto. Up close they make different trade-offs. Venice is broad: text, images, video and audio, from its own models and other companies’. SolCard Inference is narrow: three text models, every request zero-retention, and a plan that covers your API keys.

Facts about Venice below come from its own pages, as of October 31, 2026.

Privacy: which requests are private

Venice has two kinds of model. On its privacy page, Private models are those where “no prompt or response is stored,” by contract. Anonymized models are other companies’ models that Venice reaches for you without passing on who you are, but there, Venice says, the “provider sees and likely saves your prompt.” Its docs also list metadata it may process, including your IP address, device, model and token counts.

So privacy at Venice depends on which model you pick. That’s a fair trade for access to big closed models, as long as you check the label.

At SolCard Inference there’s one kind. Every model, every request: your message and the answer are processed in memory and not stored, on our servers, in our logs, or at the model. We keep a billing line (time, key, model, tokens, cost). Keeps nothing traces the whole trip.

Both keep chat history on your device. SolCard Inference’s Sync, if you turn it on, encrypts chats before they leave so our servers hold a copy they can’t open.

Uncensored models

Venice lists several “Uncensored” models on its pricing page, such as Venice Uncensored 1.2, and some are cheaper per token than ours: $0.20 input and $0.90 output per million for that one. Its terms let it screen and block content.

SolCard Inference’s three models are open-weight with their refusal training removed: Fast ($1.25 / $2.50 per million), Large (always reasons) and Base. They’re for the work other assistants refuse: security research, malware analysis for defense, red-teaming, synthetic training data. Fast, Large or Base compares them.

Plans: chat only, or chat and API

Venice’s subscriptions are for its app. Its docs say “a paid subscription does not include free or unlimited API usage”; subscribers get a one-time $5 API credit, and the API is “pay-per-use.” Venice also lets you stake its token: staked DIEM gives “$1 per day” of API credit.

A SolCard Inference plan covers both. Starter $20, Pro $100 or Max $200 a month back the chat app and, once your credits run out, your API keys too, with 20% to 25% more usage than the same money buys as you go. How billing works explains the order.

Paying

Venice takes card or crypto (“same rates as USD”), credits bought with USD or USDC per its FAQ, and pay-per-request USDC on Base or Solana for agents.

SolCard Inference takes crypto on 9+ networks (SOL, USDC, ETH, BTC and more) or a SolCard card balance, into one prepaid USD balance that never expires. Sign up with an email address or a Solana wallet.

Coding agents

Venice’s Claude Code guide runs a local router that converts Claude Code’s requests to Venice’s OpenAI-compatible format.

SolCard Inference speaks Anthropic Messages natively and adds its models next to your own in Claude Code and Codex. Paste Add SolCard Inference to my models: solcardinference.ai/install. The guide covers what it changes.

Which one

  • Use Venice for images, video and audio, or for closed models with your identity kept from the provider.
  • Use SolCard Inference when every request has to be zero-retention without checking a label, when you want a plan that also covers your API keys, or when your agent speaks Anthropic Messages.

Bring the prompt that got refused.

Private. No refusals. In the app, or in the tools you already use.

Pay in crypto. No KYC.
